I don’t think this book is actually five stars; i think it is more around 3 stars for the information it gives you。 It’s real advantage was how it made my mindset shift and how it has made me more curious about financial literacy。 The writing is very simple and easy to understand。 I like that he has listed other books to read。 i disliked his focus on attitude so much。 most of his lessons had to do with having the right frame of mind and felt repetitive after a while。 overall there were some good I don’t think this book is actually five stars; i think it is more around 3 stars for the information it gives you。 It’s real advantage was how it made my mindset shift and how it has made me more curious about financial literacy。 The writing is very simple and easy to understand。 I like that he has listed other books to read。 i disliked his focus on attitude so much。 most of his lessons had to do with having the right frame of mind and felt repetitive after a while。 overall there were some good lessons within it and it was a valuable read! 。。。more

I genuinely believe that this book is applicable in the USA Neoliberalism system。 However for someone who lives in a third world country with different political, economical and social system it’s not。 Three takeaways from this book:1。 Don’t buy new car, or any car in general。2。 Assets are more important than liabilities (which is actually a good advice for someone in their 20s)。 3。 Be smart and avoid taxes。

This book told you about habits of rich and poor, the thinking of the rich and the poor。 What rich people say their child about money and poor doesn't。 This book told you about habits of rich and poor, the thinking of the rich and the poor。 What rich people say their child about money and poor doesn't。 。。。more

Quite a good guide to thinking about money, although having already read quite a few finance books, there wasn't that much new here。 That's not necessarily a sign of the book's quality, but more to do with my past reading about the topic。 Still, I think this would have been worthwhile reading a few years ago, and it probably would have had a bigger impact on me then。 Interesting quotes:"One of the most common forms of laziness is staying busy。 Too busy to take care of your wealth, or your health Quite a good guide to thinking about money, although having already read quite a few finance books, there wasn't that much new here。 That's not necessarily a sign of the book's quality, but more to do with my past reading about the topic。 Still, I think this would have been worthwhile reading a few years ago, and it probably would have had a bigger impact on me then。 Interesting quotes:"One of the most common forms of laziness is staying busy。 Too busy to take care of your wealth, or your health, or your relationships。""If I pay myself first, I get financially stronger, mentally and fiscally。" (This is referring to the practice of putting a certain % of your pay check into investments right away, and then using the remainder for bills, etc。 It's a habit I've followed for the last year and a half, and it's been hugely useful。)One thing that was missing (in my opinion) was good advice on maximising your savings by cutting expenses - and, also, how to define a point of 'enough' when it comes to money。 Mr Money Moustache's blog still remains the best source of financial advice that I've ever read。 So if you do want to improve your financial game, I'd start there first。 。。。more

If you search for the best non-fiction (business) books list, the one that is popular even today is “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and after reading it, I understand why。 It’s one of the best books on finance and it changed my perspective of looking at money。Told in an interesting and engaging manner, Robert Kiyosaki advocates the importance of financial literacy。 By using anecdotes from his life and the lessons he learned from his two father figures, the author explains the difference between the mindset If you search for the best non-fiction (business) books list, the one that is popular even today is “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and after reading it, I understand why。 It’s one of the best books on finance and it changed my perspective of looking at money。Told in an interesting and engaging manner, Robert Kiyosaki advocates the importance of financial literacy。 By using anecdotes from his life and the lessons he learned from his two father figures, the author explains the difference between the mindset of rich and poor regarding money。In this book, the author points out the traditional mistakes people make while handling their finances and how the educational system does not focus on financial literacy。 Therefore, he encourages people to learn about accounting, financial market, taxes and investing。One of the fascinating things that stands out in this book is the stark difference between the point of view of the rich and poor person of looking at money。 The rich dad sees money in a positive light which is at odds with the popular opinion about money。Overall, this is an informative book。 It made me interested in learning about finance and managing money in a better way。 If you want to learn about finance, I highly recommend this book。 。。。more

The self-proclaimed “#1 Personal Finance Book of all time”, Rich Dad Poor Dad explores the idea of financial intelligence。 Kiyosaki came to this revelation from his “Rich Dad”, a successful Hawaii entrepreneur and father to his childhood friend Mike, and aims to relay the importance of the concept throughout this book。 Clarity of Intention - Throughout all nine chapters, Kiyosaki drills the vitality of financial intelligence to great extent。 While occasionally the message of broadening one’s inc The self-proclaimed “#1 Personal Finance Book of all time”, Rich Dad Poor Dad explores the idea of financial intelligence。 Kiyosaki came to this revelation from his “Rich Dad”, a successful Hawaii entrepreneur and father to his childhood friend Mike, and aims to relay the importance of the concept throughout this book。 Clarity of Intention - Throughout all nine chapters, Kiyosaki drills the vitality of financial intelligence to great extent。 While occasionally the message of broadening one’s income streams, rather than relying solely on one’s job, may leave a sense of discomfort to the reader due to the frequency of its repetition, one can get a solid idea of how to tackle the issue of the Rat Race by finishing the book。 Organization - Each of the nine chapters of the book handle a single topic of financial intelligence, with some overlap between (for example chapters one and six both analyze spending habits of the “Rich” compared to that of the “Poor”, and every chapter succeeds to remind the reader of how the “Rich” draw income from their assets)。 This may contribute to the aforementioned sense of repetitiveness in the teachings。 On the other hand, each chapter ends with a study section and overview, which aids readers to reflect on what they have just read and as a result brainstorm ideas to increase their financial intelligence。 Compared to other Business books… - The only other business book I have read prior to “Rich Dad Poor Dad” was the “10X Rule” by Grant Cardone。 Compared to that, Kiyosaki triumphs as the better author。 The intermingling of illustrations with words, dedicating certain areas of the page to reinforce the idea introduced, and the critical detail that Kiyosaki urges readers to find THEIR passion in asset-based income is refreshing, compared to Cardone’s prose on setting massive goals for massive returns。 A commonality between both books is their inclusion of end-chapter study sections, which is a definite plus。 Support Sections - “Rich Dad Poor Dad” virtually has zero pages that serve as a bibliography。 While Kiyosaki brings up names of some other books as a sort of “suggested reading” (for example, “Own Your Corporation” by fellow Rich Dad’s Advisor author Garret Sutton is mentioned when Kiyosaki discusses advice for those wanting to pursue an entrepreneurial path), failing to provide a dedicated sector based on this shows Kiyosaki’s negligence。 The “Best-Selling Books” in the first pages of the book are all written by Kiyosaki, which is lackluster for those looking for a different point of view。Top Quotes:

“Work to Learn - Not to Work for Money” - Chapter six“…Financial IQ is made up of knowledge from four broad areas of expertise… 1。 Accounting … 2。 Investing … 3。 Understanding markets … 4。 The law…” - Chapter four“One dad said, ’The reason I’m not rich is because I have you kids’。 The other said, ‘The reason I must be rich is because I have you kids。’ ” - IntroductionPersonally, I am eager to start investing into stocks as a source of passive income, and am attempting to keep my eye open to opportunities provided to me。 “Rich Dad Poor Dad” is a stable book for those looking to began their road towards financial intelligence。Star rating - 3。 。。。more

Good book, get's you thinking about money。 I'd recommend it to everyone who did not already start building net worth。 If you are on the journey already the value of the book is a bit more limited。 Good book, get's you thinking about money。 I'd recommend it to everyone who did not already start building net worth。 If you are on the journey already the value of the book is a bit more limited。 。。。more

Great insight on how to change your thinking from “ I can’t afford this, to How can I afford this?” Also puts you in the mind of business owners and how people who create deals think。 As well as how LLC and Corporations actually work。 And how to think like an employer instead of thinking like an employee

Es un libro que te cambia la perspectiva, trae un montón de enseñanzas sobre finanzas y básicamente describe pasos para lograr la libertad financiera。

My macro teacher recommended this and I think there’s some degree of truth to everything Kiyosaki writes。 While tone-deaf at some parts, I found the book to be insightful and really like how he stresses the importance of financial literacy。

Plenty of the social, cultural and religious prejudices about money many of us grew and still grow up with are decently and intelligently addressed in this book。I regret I didn't read it when it was first published。 Wouldn't be bad to teach it or the principles in it in schools, especially in developed countries, which discourage entrepreneurship and only wish for armies of robots, which work hard for paying taxes, pay for (half of) a lifetime for their dream house。Cheers and enjoy reading it! : Plenty of the social, cultural and religious prejudices about money many of us grew and still grow up with are decently and intelligently addressed in this book。I regret I didn't read it when it was first published。 Wouldn't be bad to teach it or the principles in it in schools, especially in developed countries, which discourage entrepreneurship and only wish for armies of robots, which work hard for paying taxes, pay for (half of) a lifetime for their dream house。Cheers and enjoy reading it! :) 。。。more

A surprisingly thought provoking book。 The message on discipline in saving/investing and intelligent risk taking is not new。 It is, however, very well packaged。 Without the weak an irritating political analysis and daddy issues, I'd give it 5 stars。 A surprisingly thought provoking book。 The message on discipline in saving/investing and intelligent risk taking is not new。 It is, however, very well packaged。 Without the weak an irritating political analysis and daddy issues, I'd give it 5 stars。 。。。more
